Watering the Earth

You form the Nile in the underworld, You lead him up according to your pleasure,
to the people alive, as you have done to you, you, their Lord!
You day sun, the fruit of every distant land, you have made their lives too.
You set a Nile in the sky so that it falls down to them
and waves roll on the mountains like the sea and irrigate their fields in their towns.
The Nile in the sky is for foreign countries, and for the deer of the desert, walking on his feet;
But the real Nile swells out from the underworld for Egypt." ...
