Gilgamesch kommt ans Meer. Uta-napischti wohnt jenseits dieses Meeres. Siduri,
die Wirtin am Meeresstrand, verschließt ihr Tor und steigt aus Vorsicht vor
Gilgamesch aufs Dach, um zu erfahren, was dieser vorhat (X, 1-28).

Siduri on the roof
Gilgamesh comes to the sea. Uta-napishti is living beyond the sea. Siduri,
the landlady by the sea, closes her door and cautiously gets on the roof,
fearing Gilgamesh. She wants to find out what he is up to do.
