Gilgamesch, die Pflanze und die Schlange
Nach einem langen Tagesmarsch badet Gilgamesch in einem Teich.
Währenddessen kommt eine Schlange und trägt die Pflanze fort.
Dabei häutet sie sich - ein Zeichen ihrer ewigen Jugend (XI, 301-307).

Gilgamesh, the snake and the plant
After a long day's march Gilgamesh bathes in a pond. Meanwhile
a snake carries the plant away. It sheds its skin - a sign of its eternal youth.
